Monolith builds its kamados in the German tradition: heavy components, stainless steel where other brands use chromed steel, and airflow control that adjusts more finely than it looks. The Junior is the compact model in that range.
Solo here means exactly what it says: the kamado, with no stand and no shelves. Monolith sells a whole kit of frames and modules for it, and those add up fast. So compare this against other brands’ bare prices, not against their complete sets.
Who it suits: Anyone building it into an outdoor kitchen, who therefore needs no frame.
